Hiking metro-Atlanta during July and August is crazy. That's why I only do it once to show newbies how un-fun it is. Several weeks ago I went to Jones Bridge (Hike #8 in my book) with Valina because it's a trail that is mostly along water. If we were close enough to the water, there was a bit of breeze. When we got away from the water, the sweltering heat was miserable. If I go hiking any this month, it will be way up high in the mountains.
a lot of ducks
duck close-up
a nice fog upon the water
a bench
Bench Rating
Comfort – 4 (soft wood without splinters but no back)
View – 5 (perfect view of the bridge, ducks, fog, and fisherman)
Graffiti – 0 (I don't remember there being graffiti)
Creative Placement Along the Trail - 5
