I hand stitched the ric-rac carefully.
The finished bag
I made a little bag for etsy out of the extra material.
I finally made my way to Whipstitch in Atlanta. I bought City Weekend (Moda) and Metro Cafe (Robert Kaufman) to make a reversible apron for a friend's wedding gift. She loves tea and coffee, and she's very girly. I wanted to incorporate both ideas so that she may use the apron for multiple occasions.
I modified a pattern from this book.
I used an embroidery stitch on the pockets. It worked out to align the pattern perfectly for the teacup pattern. I wish I had thought of that when I was cutting out the rest of the fabric. I rarely work with this sort of fabric.
This is showing you that it's reversible.
