bossy bossy

Bossypants by Tina Fey

How did I come to read this book? I immediately added this book to my summer reading list when it was released.  It wasn't until the last day of summer that my name finally arrived on the wait list.  Not very good timing but an easy read made cramming it into my now busy schedule.

What did I learn about the author? Lots of things.  You should read the book to find out for yourself what I already learned.

Is the book romantic fiction? No, but there's a chapter where she goes on her honeymoon with her husband.  It isn't a romantic story.  It's funny.

Is the book illustrated? Yes!  There are photographs.

Do I like the characters? Yes, Tina is hilarious.

Is there an identifiable central conflict? Nope.  Unless being Tina is a conflict.

Did any part of the book inspire me in any way? To be wittier.

Will I read any other books by this author? If she ever writes more, yes.

How long did it take me to read the book? One and a half week(s).

What does the book say? In reference to Will Ferrel: "He's the Michael Caine of sketch comedy.  He could be in something awful and it would never stick to him." (p124)  I like this comparison to Michael Caine since he's my old man crush and I watch all of his movies even though some of them are terrible.

What is one word that describes this book? fularious
